Reduce wait times for walk-in service when you join the Same-Day Wait List.
The Same-Day Wait List is a virtual waitlist that allows you to sign up and wait from anywhere. If you are interested in same-day walk-in services at the tax office, simply join the waitlist and when it’s your turn, a text message will notify you to return for service. Real-time queuing updates are also available to monitor your place in line.
The waitlist opens daily at 8 a.m. and may close early due to capacity.

Know Before You Go
- A valid Georgia driver’s license or ID with current DeKalb County address is required for all transactions.
- Forms of payment accepted: cash, personal check, money orders, credit/debit card (fees apply).
- Show staff at the front door your confirmation email/text by phone or printout.
- Please be on time for your appointment.
All locations are open during regular business hours. However, the office is subject to close the line prior to closing time to accommodate the volume of taxpayers awaiting service.
