Hours of Operation:

Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (4:15pm cut off for Dealers only)

 

House Rules:

  • We can only process titles and registrations for DeKalb County residents.
  • Out-of-state dealers are required to mail all transactions.
  • Dealerships must have a direct interest in the vehicle in order for the transaction to be processed. This includes being the buyer, seller or lien holder.
  • We date stamp work when received and will process them in the order they are received.
  • If in person, you are allowed to process a maximum of up to four (4) transactions at one time. If you have more than four (4) transactions, you are required to pull another number after the first batch of four (4) is completed.
  • Management reserves the right to limit the number of transactions based on staffing levels and customer volume.
  • If processing titles in person, you must stay in the office. If you have to leave the office for any reason, the work would be considered as a drop off and will be processed as received.
  • We are unable to fax vehicle information to dealerships.
  • All Fleet Renewals and Bulk Title Transfers must include one (1) check for every six (6) transactions. No Exceptions.

 

Commercial, Dealer and Fleet Payment Methods:

  • Checks (no personal checks for dealer transactions) Note: Any dealer that has submitted payment to the DeKalb County Tax Commissioner which was returned or deemed insufficient must submit certified funds (cashier's check or official check) for all future payments submitted to DeKalb County.
  • Cashier's checks
  • Debit Cards (Personal debit cards not accepted for dealership transactions)
  • VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Credit Cards. We are unable to accept personal credit cards as payment for dealership transactions.
