You also have the option of applying for an expedited title at the Georgia Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Division, located at 4125 Welcome All Road, Atlanta, GA 30349. There is a $10 expedited charge in addition to the $8.00 replacement fee.

If any owner is unable to appear in person, an original notarized Power-of-Attorney and a copy of the driver's license or ID card for the absent person must be presented. The Power-of-Attorney must include the year, make, model, and vehicle identification number of the vehicle.

    Removing a Lien

Removing a lien costs - $18.00 . Owner must have original lien release from lienholder (bank, credit union, etc) or title with lien original authorization signature.

If any owner is unable to appear in person, an original notarized Power-of-Attorney and a copy of the driver's license or ID card for the absent person must be presented. The Power-of-Attorney must include the year, make, model, and vehicle identification number of the vehicle.

    Electronic Liens

All electronic liens (ELT) must be removed electronically by the lender through the Department of Revenue. Electronic liens cannot be removed in office with the T-4 or lien release document.
