Acreage: Units used to measure the size of a property.

Appeal Code: A code used by the county to identify the status of a property assessment appeal.

Building Value: The assessed value of the building portion of a parcel of property.

Co-Owner: The full name of the second owner of the parcel of property (e.g. John P. Doe).

Deed Book: Identifies the government book where a parcel of property is recorded.

Deed Page: Identifies the page of a deed book where a parcel of property is recorded.

Deed Type: Identifies the type of recording instrument that can be found in/on the corresponding book/page.

Delinquent Amount Due: The total amount of past due taxes on the property.

Exemption Type: The code used by the county to identify the type of exemption that is being applied to the property.

Hearing Date: The date of a scheduled appeal hearing for a property assessment appeal.

Land Value: The assessed value of the land portion of a parcel of property.

Last Sold Date: The date on which a property parcel was last sold.

Misc. Improvement Value: The assessed value of the non-land/non-building portion of a parcel of property.

NBHD Code: Code used by the county to reference neighborhood.

 

Owner: The full name of the primary owner of the property parcel (e.g. Jane H. Doe).

Parcel ID Number: An identifying field for a parcel of property.

Pin Number – PIN (Personal Identification Number): A unique number that identifies and associates an individual with a tax bill.

Property Address: The physical address of the parcel of property.

Property Class: A descriptive code that identifies the type of property.

Sale Date: The date a parcel of property was sold for tax collection purposes.

Special Billing Address: The address used to send tax notices if different from owner address.

40% Taxable Assessment: The assessed value of a parcel of property that is used for computing property taxes (DeKalb County computes this value at 40 percent).

Tax Exempt Amount: The total amount of tax exemption (tax savings) that is being applied to the property.

Tax Sale File Number: Case file number established by the county to reference property tax sales.

Total Value: The total assessed value of a parcel of property.

Year Built: The year in which a primary building on a parcel of property was constructed.

Zone Type: Code issued by the county to identify property use (e.g. agricultural, residential, commercial or industrial).
