During month of April, several DeKalb County Public Library branches will be hosting displays featuring poems and books about the poets who write them. More Poetry Month highlights include:
- Exhibits showcasing poetry written by community members at Clarkston Library and Stonecrest Library.
- Opportunities for you to take the stage and read your poetry at open mic events at Scott Candler Library (April 3 at 6:00 p.m.) and Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library (April 17 at 6:00 p.m.).
- A discussion about the poem drafting and revision process at Redan-Trotti Library on April 6 at 2:00 p.m.
- Multiple poetry events at The Georgia Center for the Book, including a Celebration of Georgia Poets on April 12 and the book launch for Atlanta poet Collin Kelley's new collection, Wonder & Wreckage, on April 30.
- Special lists of poetry books for children and adults.
