All offices closed June 19 in observance of Juneteenth holiday
DECATUR, Ga. – In observance of Juneteenth, the DeKalb County Tax Commissioner’s Office will be closed for the holiday on Wednesday, June 19 and will resume normal hours on Thursday, June 20.
To avoid delays, motor vehicle customers may go online to renew their vehicle registration, pay insurance fines, check their vehicle title and insurance status, change their vehicle registration address, and more at https://eservices.drives.ga.gov.
Self-service tag renewal kiosks are also available at participating Kroger stores in DeKalb. For kiosk locations, visit https://deKalbtax.org/kiosks.
For walk-in service at the Memorial Drive, Clairmont Road and South DeKalb Mall tax office locations, customers should expect delays before and after holidays. Appointments can be scheduled ahead of time or customers may join the virtual waitlist for same-day service at DeKalbTax.org. All locations will be closed for the Juneteenth holiday on Wednesday, June 19 and will reopen Thursday, June 20.
As a reminder, a valid Georgia driver's license with a current DeKalb County address is required to register a vehicle. Individuals moving to Georgia or moving from one county to another have 30 calendar days to register their vehicles. To update your address on your Georgia driver's license or to find a Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) customer service center, visit https://dds.georgia.gov.
